I was prepared to make an offer for $x,xxx on this name a year or so ago, never got around to it. Looks like my offer would have been insufficient in any event.
The $16k sale price does not surprise me. I guess I'll have to check in and see what I missed out on once the buyer gets a site up!

In addition to strappless bras, there are also strappless dresses. Some of the searches might be men looking at strapless dresses. I would hope that whoever paid $16K for it did a good keyword analysis and hopes to make the money back over years on PPC or as an affiliate and maybe later sell the name to recover the $16K investment. I would also hope that it's not another non-paying bidder. I would not have paid $16K but it might be worth it to someone who does SEO for affiliate or PPC sites. Strapless dreses do sell for more than books, and the affiliate income should be larger also.
