With the shear number of t-shirt sellers, I'd say this has some real value even if not dot-com and with the dash.

    $200-500

First, appraisals really mean very little in this industry, other than a person's opinion based on their personal knowledge which varies greatly. In the auto or real estate industry there are public records of property and vehicles to do comparisons, and values are based on items that are more alike than different domain names. Property in a neighborhood is similar and two same model vehicles are the same except for some looks and wear. Domain names are a whole different thing. There are few public records of sales prices, many of them are actively kept secret. With little objective data, "appraisals" become very subjective. With a domain costing less than $10, the value comes from promotion, development, networking, industry knowledge (the industry related to the name), and who you know. Most of those here sell quickly at closer to wholesale than retail prices, therefore the appraisals will generally be closer to this end of the scale. Paid Appraisers tend to give high figures to make you feel good, and come back for more appraisals, register more names (lottery mentality), or list the names on their site for more revenue.

Second, I think your name does have some real value. If I told you it's somewhere between $9 and $9,000, you wouldn't think much of the appraiser. There are people who couldn't give a dot-org name away, and there are some who could actively find the right buyer with the budget and maybe even get 5 figures. Few people will actively seek out the buyer or do pre-development and research to prove the value of the name, therefore bringing the lower end of the scale. At auction on this forum, you would probably get $20-100 for that name.

T-shirt.org has three things going against it. First is being a .org, which is generally thought to be non-profit organizations, and way down the pecking order from .com's. Second, it has the hyphen which many are affraid will end up sending people to the owner of tshirts.org instead, or tshirt.com, or t-shirts.com. Third, the plural t-shirts.org would be better.

You can strongly market the .org to non-profits using t-shirts to raise funds, and note that the market for t-shirts would include millions of potential businesses rather than markets with only a few players. The dash being a natural in this case can actually potentially help in search engine and keyword rankings.

Also, time can make a big difference. If you want to turn over the name before renewal, you have to find a buyer more quickly. If you don't mind waiting several years, a buyer may come available who isn't even in the market right now.

Your domain currently doesn't resolve to a for sale page, has not been developed. On that basis alone, you are bypassing potential buyers who don't even know it's for sale.

    Good Luck.
