With the impending explosion of both wifi tv - which is restricted to local hotspots and mobi tv - which is totally unrestricted and with a consumer base of billions (all cell phone subscibers) are these wise domain names....

There is the much discussed debate as to whether anyone outside the cellphone or sex industry will bother to register.mobi domains....betcha all the good ones have already been sifted out by registered businesses....

My personal opinion is that people will not give a hoot about.mobi as long as the .coms can promise superior or at least comparable mobile internet technology.

The question then becomes whther any consumers would bother, or know about or care about the .TV extention when they wanna hook into watching TV on WIFI or MOBI.

This is definately a gamble. And I have positioned myself to either cash in or lose a couple thousand ......

I think its a longshot, but who knows..the best that could happen is someone making a site called watchmobi.tv that would be good traffic..what do you mean you can lose a couple of thousand?

Guess what - there is a site called watchmobi.tv and its mine too!! SO developing the one would help the other???

A couple of thousand,......... because I have bought quite a lot of .tvs - including internetbroadcast.tv, watchmywife.tv, netbroadcast.TV, free braodcast.tv, deathpenalty.tv....etc.....so if no one bothers with the new extentions...its back to the drawing board.....I also have watchmobi.com, mobipokerplay.com. .so am also trying to load up with.coms for .mobi sites..........

ha..thats funny that you own that one too..what happens alot is that people instead of typing the .tv tld type the tv at the end of the domain and then .com so ..for example if you would own mlbtv.com you would get alot of typo traffic since the real site is of course mlb.tv ..so in this case it means that someone else isnt buying your typo domains...good luck with your domains
