Have just registered datingsites.us.com. According to keyword research google gets about 2 million searches per month in the US for 'dating sites'.
Am going to develop site with affiliate links etc etc and hope that if 0.01% visit it and sign up will be laughing!
Any thoughts or development ideas?

1. datingsites.us.com is worth reg fee IMO
2. Don't spend a lot of money making your dating site, because chances are, with a new domain with no or little traffic, you won't get that money back in revenue.
3. You cant just hope that someone signs up, why not post a domain wanted ad here asking for a dating site with good monthly traffic, and then develop that? Any money invested will have a better chance of being returned that way.
I'm not planning on spending lodas - circa £500 developing it.
There are some .us.coms that get descent organic listings which is obviously the idea. If that is the case could have a descent income (I'm not anticipating thousands) every month, with a little luck.

i think £500 would be too much... get a Hosting account, get a cheap dating website template and script, and just get link building and getting your domain name known.
Then, if you find it doesn't develop as you want, you haven't lost much money, but if it does start to develop, and you get quite a bit of traffic, definitely start putting more £££ in

I know i has little or no value without being developed. I'm not looking to sell it, am looking to develop it to provide a modest income.
At least it has the keywords of a heavily searched term, so hoping with a bit of luck and a descent site will be up there on the search.

I like it...I see value in it and it is basically a long "hack" great keywords and would probably even be memorable as a type in. Nice name for a site.
