What are "good numbers" on Overture?

What do people feel are "good numbers" on Overture?

What I mean is: At what point do the numbers make it worthwhile registering a possible "type-in" .COM?

Just interested to hear peoples opinions...

Perhaps we could do a poll?

Ok... Let's say fairly common words , and no more than two words ...for well known types of products

I'm being deliberately vague, as I don't want to bias the poll towards any particular area.

it depends entirely on the product. every product is different.

typein numbers for cars would be more valuable then the same amount for magazines etc.

I see what you're saying. But I think it averages out somewhat, as people would buy a lot more magazines than cars.

right, which is why the different numbers are important since different products convert at different rates.

Good point. A linked poll showing the types of products people are interested in would provide another dimension to the data.

This poll will show the average numbers, which will still be valuable.

This poll is useless...there's too many variables. Next time try not to make your poll so vague.

Well, although it's true that it depends on the product, since a while i try to not register names that have less than 100.000 monthly searches on overture.Exceptions included.Plus pointing links is a huge factor too - if not the biggest.
Was that what you meant?
Or are you talking about search results?
I seldom look up search results but always number of monthly searches.

This poll was just supposed to be for the number of monthly searches.

If you have a domain that gets 500 searches a month on Overture with the '.com'; thats 6,000 visitors (targeted) every year for the price of registration.
Where else can you get so much for so little?
Nothing beats type ins.

Very true! Now, if we can just work out how to get ALL of them to buy something...
