Much lower than the closest generic 3 letter domain I could think of as a comparison, gay.com, ranked 518.

Is sex.com the most valuable of all domains?
If not, what is?
Does anybody know of a table ranking the top 10 or top 100 domains or so?

Validweb is right -- gay.com is likely more valuable than sex.com, because it gets comparable traffic and is more targetted.

Still, sex.com is worth at least $20 to $30 million (if their accounting was public, one could get a better sense). Perhaps up to $100 million or more, depending on a bunch of factors.

WHEN ARE YOU PEOPLE GOING TO REALISE THAT ALEXA.COM IS TOTALLY WORTHLESS WHEN IT COMES TO RANKINGS. THEY ARE NOT BASING THEM ON REAL STATS.

I realize that alexa.com worthless. But they are basing them on real stats. They are not basing the rankings on stats of every internet user, only users who have downloaded their software.

I was not much into domains in 99 - but the theif who owned it at the time offered it on eBay. It went over 1 Million - but was not sold. Anyone have the eBay story or link ?
