    How true it is though... that "world" is used in the US sometimes the mean all of US (take WorldSeries.com- I see no international baseball teams playing do you?)

    .com isnt synonim for INTERNATIONAL, when .us definately is in place of STATES. So I dont get your point..

    The plural version "WorldRecords.US" is what you need.

    ie: "sports.worldrecords.us" etc...
