meaningless 4 letter dot com the E is no help either - $50 but no more than 200.

You would have to add a few million$$ in design, programing and promotion for it to have Any real value

Maybe its an old english term, used by elderly holiday makers?

Not as popular as ebygum so I would say $80 - $140

I would think maybe 100-200 max. I could see it selling to some business in the San Francisco Bay area.

Goes to show you what branding can do

Branding is THE key for name value... that's why names with traffic are worth alot more. Stupid but very well known names are worth more than just great names.
So... if you have a great idea, then the domain name is not really important for success, as long as the name is not too long...

ebay.com would be worth $25.00 if there was no ebay auction site that we know today.

[Suspending all belief that it is already a developed site]

Ebay is actually short for "East Bay" (as in East Bay Area)

Four letter domain that can be pronounced

    'e'+'Bay' = Not a bad combination

    Good branding possibilities

    I would say it's worth $500

More valuable than Lycos.com or Yahoo.com for sure

what do you think ebay had to put into its advertising, I think it was setup... i think that the person that tried to sell his kidney on there was setup to do it which caused media attention to help ebay./

    No value to e domain

The domain just does not make any sense. I thought about it and the only use I could come up with it is for the Green BAY Packers – but they already have Packers.com so why would they want ebay.com? Thus, it is the clearest example of a name not worth the reg (no one wants it) I have seen. But do not feel bad Hoodrider (if you reged it), I have a similar turkey (Esex.info). Good luck.
