This is what we need to happen! I thought Microsfot was going to advertise their .mobi but NONE of the sponser did squat!
As I had said so many times to everyone, dont sell your names quite yet (eventhough i have asked to buy them). Once these .mobi extensions are advertised to the public, our .mobi value will soar!
I know i may be shot for saying this, but there are only 2 kinds of main domains (again, this is only my opinion) that users think:
Computer: .com
Mobile phone: .mobi
Thats it.
So, yes, i think this is another .com revolution. But of course, .com is the king, but a king needs a princess Like .mobi. The other king competitors are .net, .org, .info, etc... but only ONE queen. That is:
QUEEEN-.mobi of Mobile Phone!

This is a very positive step, they must be sending mailshots ans email out to alot of uk businesses to get this up and running, which means more advertising for us & .mobi but when will they come knockingon the door for our domains! Next year i hope!

All of us with generics like :
cityapartment.mobi
cityapartments.mobi
cityhomes.mobi
city-jobs.mobi (don't shoot me for the hyphen... remember they're popular in the east!)
countryhomes.mobi
should all consider putting up a page to redirect them to asap.mobi once it's live. I'll ring them on Monday and pose the question about a direct PPC arrangement or a flat-fee monthly redirect... no good our parked pages redirecting to .com's if there's a quality service out there that needs our traffic right!?

You don't have to justify your Regged Names as long as You Believe in them yourself cos its your own money on the line here.
I also have a few names with hyphens and I am pretty Confident... Kung-Fu.mobi, Abu-Dhabi.mobi etc...
