If you've got a web-enabled mobile phone you can find out your bank balance no matter where you are if you are a Barclays customer.
By visiting Barclays.mobi, you can securely log in to your account and view your balance on a site specially designed to be browsed on mobile devices.
Sean Gilchrist, director of electronic banking at Barclays said: “Barclays is constantly working to make the most of new technology and the opportunities it offers for accessing banking services.
"These days most of us are never far from our mobile phones and this new service means that we are now never far from our bank account either,” said Gilchrist.
This is just the latest of a series of innovative services from Barclays, who first introduced online banking services nearly nine years ago in June 1998.
Last month, Barclays began sending out an anti-fraud device to all of its online banking customers.
Barclays (LSE: BARC, NYSE: BCS, TYO: 8642 ) is a global financial services provider operating in the UK, Europe, United States, Middle East, Latin America, Australia, Asia and Africa. It is a holding company that is listed in London and New York. It consists almost solely of Barclays Bank PLC.
Barclays is the 4th largest financial services provider in the world by Tier 1 capital ($32.5 billion), and the 28th largest in the world by Market capitalization ($71.6 billion). It is the third largest bank in the United Kingdom based on assets.

LOL
If you insist, as i'm sure when i checked it 6 months ago, it wasn't functioning like this. Seems they're padding it out.
I was in Barclays today paying for a premium mobi by wire transfer and the girl behind counter asked what i was paying for.
I said a 'domain name'.
She said 'huh?'
I explained briefly, she said 'oh! a web name?'
I said , 'yeah'. I guess thats fair enough though.
I explained barclays have a mobi, but aren't using it, or so i thought.......... (her eyes glazed over at this point and as she was a dog, i put no extra effort in )

some of site hops around to .co.uk on links but plenty of mobi pages

this is huge news as , as far as i know Barclays are biggest bank in UK, HSBC may be bigger in world, but i bank with Barclays and they are MASSIVE.
explore the site, as at first glance it seems it is a holding page, but you can drill quite deep.
If they promote this i may have to indulge in a standing w*nk. Not in a branch though![]()
when ik say her 'eyes glazed over', it wasn't through lust, it was through boredom
anyway, she was a hound
Pred doesnt do the 'going out wiv' business. too much grief![]()
