    Thanks for the tip...

The player does look very promising, I wouldn't be surprised if other broadcasting companies begin to jump on similar concepts.

BBC is one of those companies that definitely "gets it"

True. Their news is the 'only news' worth watching as far as i'm concerned.
The only tv i watch is bbc news 24

This iplayer is free to everyone in the world though.
We gotta pay our tv licence fee to bbc though!!! here in UK

I'll forgive them if they develop the mobi.
I emailed thier domain technical dept. today about it & got this back:

    Dear xxxxxxxx,

Thank you for your email and query which has been passed onto the
iplayer team to advise and respond to you as appropriate.

    Regards,
    BBC Domain Manager.

    Got an email back today:
    Dear Mr. xxxxxxxx,
Thank you for patience whilst we have been dealing with your query.
At the launch of BBC iPlayer, Mark Thomson confirmed that we intend to make the proposition available to mobile devices. It was also considered during the Public Value Test consultations. Mobile has always been on the roadmap for BBC iPlayer but we are still firming up the details as to how and when we intend to deploy this.
Thanks for your interest and support for the BBC iPlayer.
    BBC Domain Manager.
