There is not a thing that can be said or done for many to take this extension seriously.

So why not have some fun.

It's great for the DNF community spirit and rankings.

Plus, each time someone adds a comment against it just keeps the thread alive.

Seems like the logical thing would be to not comment and let the thread die.

But, who's talking logic when we're talking .mobi.

I guess because most in business are a tad self-absorbed.

But to Gerry's (DocCom) credit, clearly he is not.

In fact, Gerry is quite funny and razor quick. In domain forums I've watched him, he's actually hysterical. But more, he's human.

I welcome him showing us that. I wish more would.

I'm not saying everyone try out at a comedy club, but do stop trying out for the "I'm important" club.

Because you know something? I'm not. None of us are.

And as they say, the moment we can't laugh at ourselves, is the moment everyone will.

Some say business people should be serious, not silly. Why can't they be both?

Some of the best leaders I've ever seen are funny as heck. They pick their moments, because life is about moments. And then it's gone.

Gerry gets that and he gets MOBI. And I frankly like that.

Mosh.mobi and S60.mobi rock and i think Nokia and dot mobi have made a contract and are going to make .mobi the default browser extension in all Nokia phones !

I just looked at a sampling of some of these mobi's and they seem to forward to a .com and then the .com is primarily text. Is this what is supposed to happen?I thought there was supposed to be new software or templates written for cell phones, etc., to make it easier to read on a small screen.

If on a PC, then most will autodetect that you are not on a mobile and forward to a dot com.
