dotMobi Happening Cities and Dates

Hi everyone,

Thanks to everyone that contributed your opinion about where our dotMobi Happenings should be. I received plenty of feedback through this forum, our blog and the online poll.

I'm pleased to announce the first set of dotMobi Happenings that will be in North America. If you'd like to attend, send me a private message or send your request to dotmobihappening@pinkybrand.com with your real full name and let me know which city works for you. Attendance will be limited so let me know ASAP.

Here's the list:

Los Angeles, CA - Wed., March 19th, 7 PM
La Jolla, CA - Thu., March 20th, 7 PM
Toronto, ON - Wed., April 9th – Details coming soon.
Boca Raton, FL - Mon., April 28th - Details coming soon.
Atlanta, GA - Date and details coming soon.
New York, NY - Date and details coming soon.

As mentioned on a previous thread, these Happenings will be free, casual and very conversational and always at a cool place. It’s your opportunity to meet dotMobi executives and speak freely about what’s on your mind and what’s on ours. And of course it’s a great way to network and meet others who are interested in dotMobi.

Stay tuned for updates on Toronto, Boca, Atlanta and New York. I hope to see you at one of them!

Man I would love to come to Vancouver! I know there is interest there and in Seattle, but unfortunately when it came down to reviewing at the all the votes, emails, private messages etc. that I received over the last 3 weeks there was not enough to set it up on this first go-around. We're still looking at various options for the area though. We'll keep you informed...or just wait until the weather gets warmer.

i have always dreamed about going to Cuba
unfortunately i am in UK so wont be able to attend any mtld meetings

nb: you may want to tell your friend who went to Cuba to check his Hosting account , and that there is not a dark car parked outside his house 24/7

I hope to do these outside of the USA as well. I've already fielded suggestions to hold Happenings in the U.K., Ireland, Germany, Switzerland, Sweden, Spain, South Africa, Hong Kong and so on. So stay tuned.

Yes, we have nailed down a very nice location in West Hollywood at the Mondrian. We'll be taking over the Seabar and sitting down to dinner with food from the Asia de Cuba restaurant that is well known at the Mondrian. Attendance is limited and admission is by invitation only, so if you are interested in attending please send an email to me dotMobiHappening@pinkybrand.com

Please note our Toronto Happening for next Wed. April 9th is at 7 PM at BCE Place. You need an invitation to attend as seating is limited. It's at a very cool place. Get an invite by sending a request to dotMobiHappening@pinkybrand.com.

Same goes for our South Florida Happening in Boca Raton on Monday, April 28th.

We have received a lot of requests from the NYC area.
We won't be doing in April but more likely in late May or early June---and it may be a larger Happening to include some formal programs on development etc.
No guarantees on date yet of course but that's what I'm looking at right now.

I just found out that I am supposed to use another location on this site for letting folks know about dotMobi events, links to our blog etc. so I apologize to anyone offended by the original post and the link to the blog that I provided and have since removed. The oversight was not intentional. Just trying to learn the ropes here.
