Now, do we now call the iPhone a failure and un-needed technology?
I'm really going to go out on a limb here and say...Nope. Steve Jobs and the knowledgeable folks at Apple (who perhaps have never visited this forum or even know about this forum) I would assume took into consideration that maybe, JUST MAYBE, the phone would be both .com and .mobi compatible?
And perhaps they took into consideration that as phones evolve and needs chance and trends become the norm that perhaps this phone will adapt and handle those changes.
So, I guess I need to go back and quote myself (isn't that precious...)

My conclusion is that iPhone will do fine and I sure hope it can handle a site made in a format for cellular phones.

The IPhone... let's see:
1. The IPhone is capable of opening Gb wireless bandwidth streams that literally shine out of it's chassis blasting leaves and small children from it's path...
2. It's screen size can be augmented by pressing a small button on it's side that springs the screen from 2" x 4" to a full-scale 21" monitor.
3. All this coupled with a fold-out, digital LCD keyboard matt. Using the latest technologies in development at DARPA, the US's top secret development laboratory.
Get real guys... the IPhone is a phone... a new phone that looks fantastic and will get people using data instead of voice... bring it on! dotMobi and all on it's rise will benefit from Apple's telecomm strategy...

do you see any myspace profiles etc advertising their personal .mobi? Ads displaying .mobi? You need an advertising wagon to make something work. Handing out .mobi domains at TRAFFIC workshops ain't gonna work.

In regards to iPhone (oh brother) odd a few minutes ago I was reading in PC World about the new SamSung phone about to give the iPhone a chase for it's money at less than half the price with large storage capacity and longer battery life.
Looks like a SAMSUNG NEW PHONE TO END THE iPHONE HYSTERIA thread coming.
