Yes, perhaps gimmicky, but all technology at present is somewhat gimmicky and faddish until the next thing comes along. But we obviously agree that the NNN.mobi does have value and potential as well as a place in the market. I think perhaps more so than another other extension.
The GAS, BET, EAT were just examples of how numbers could possibly equate to words. The point
I was trying to make is it is much easier to just put in the number than to scroll for a letter. And if a number happens to equate to a word,
it may make that number more desireable, marketable, and valuable.
I've played around with the T9 format and sometimes it will give you five words to choose from. Can not see the benefit if you type in a number and it gives you five words to select from and you still have to scroll through the list to find the right word. Just give me the number, is what I am implying. Unless you have a keyboard enhanced phone or pda and you do what you want to do.
Just read a report yesterday that China will be largest internet user by 2009. I wonder how much the firm that did this study got paid to state the obvious?
