It's a conditional prediction of course, based on some pretty ambitious assumptions about the growth rates of mobile internet advertising. Still... Just one paragraph from the above CNN article:
"Schmidt said Saturday that as mobile phones become more like handheld computers and consumers spend as much as eight to 10 hours a day talking, texting and using the Web on these devices, advertising becomes a viable form of subsidy"
Eight to 10 hours a day? Assuming people would still sleep, eat and be merry, exactly how many hours does Google think they'll be spending in front of PC screens?
Before you shout to your broker "Sell Dell, buy mobi" though, please note it may already be too late:

The smart money seems to have been with Google and not Dell for some time now.

8-10 hours per day is probably not far off the total amount of time most people spend on phones and PCs (combined) right now.
If and when phones and PCs become the same thing, then obviously it wouldn't be an exaggeration. If that doesn't happen in the foreseeable future, then there may be a little bit of exaggeration for emphasis in Google's CEO pronouncements.
