Can't wait for Vision's new .mobi thread![]()
Yes, to those that believed that domainers do not have rights and with concerted effort any power at all, this should be an example.
Several people on this very forum laughed and scoffed at the idea that a lawsuit was going to stop anything or solve anything.
It did not matter if it was .mobi or .com or dot anything.
This has actually been going on and finalizing for several weeks now. I think it is being done on a case by case basis.
I did not pursue my claim as doubtful I would have won the domain name. First notice (pre-blackout) came and stated I lost on a certain domain when the winning bid on that notice was much less than my proxy bid.
This told me that proxy bids were not entered. Not only for me but also for others.
When the auction restarted some twenty minutes later (which I was not aware of) the domain in question went for a higher sum than the first win notice. Much higher and higher than my original proxy.
This was very wrong. But I have no idea if I was beat by someone else who did not get their proxy bid in also? or if by a new bidder all together which should have nullified the sale.
Who knows.
Either way, for the parties involved in this months long ordeal, glad it is finally getting out of the way and moving on.
So how much did he pay ?

I can not disclose the amount paid to the mTLD since the amount is confidential, but it is in the 6-figures.
