.mobi is going off!!

Anyone else here having trouble with the .mobi system being overloaded?

From checking for domains on their whois it seems a huge number have been registered today with the lower price!

Pity the fools who overlooked this one!

I saw the same thing. Had to wait a couple of minutes before checking back.
Apparently a lot of people around the world were checking .mobi whois.

They knew it was coming, but even "they" have limited resouces to collect all that cash $$$$$

I haven't had any trouble with whois. Are you using the whois at mtld.mobi?

^ yes, if you keeep trying the should get: WHOIS QUERY RATE LIMIT EXCEEDED. PLEASE WAIT AND TRY AGAIN.

Not here..it seems to be getting worse!
I have given up trying to check domains now, as it is too frustrating having to try multiple times per domain!

It will be interesting to hear how many have now been registered!
