.mobi is just a hype- thinking people will use their phones and together with that type, .mobi. Well, I wont. I keep to my cctld or .com or google, no way others will do otherwise.. Also its a ****ing disaster to internet on your mobile, just for checking email it may be neccessarry.

I know that .com is coming is as currently holding the title.. the clear champion today..


but how good can .mobi go? I mean if your measurement of success is traffic and usage, one thing dot mobi has going for it if it's coupled with the mobile internet revolution, is four to 1 cellphones to computer desktops. Could .com mean COMputer to someone new in China or India (together 1/3 people on Earth) who may come to the freedom of the internet for the first time on a mobile device (before possible ablity to afford a computer) ? Thinking beyond the West.. where countries like China also have a .com but .com.cn etc. Sounds kinda unfair you would think they would be thinking..

Could .mobi be hot virally globally? If it's associated with the mobile revolution..

Of course the mobile internet revolution can bring that success to the .com as well. But with the Iphone type device (or lesser but with just scrollbars), maybe people don't want a forced mobile shortened redirect on the .com to see the full info site. So .mobi might be the choice to cover all accessing devices with redirect. Make sense?
