heh.. key presses.. people need to get past this.. like i said, the people worried about how many "key presses" it is to get to a webpage arnt coordinated enough to be typing on a mobile device anyway. That, or they wouldnt even bother subscribing to the internet, because surfing on your cellphone is annoying. I think it is... that is, until you actually need some information on-the-go...
Hmmm i need to rent a car because mine broke down, TOO MANY KEY PRESSES TO LOOKUP THE PHONE #..screw it, were walking.
Hmmm im bored and in the middle of nowhere.. i think ill play some simple games online... nope, too many key presses.. lets just sit here for 5 hours..
Before .mobi even existed, and still, right now you can go to existing .coms on your cellphone.. do you honestly think the people that DO surf online using a mobile device question whether or not they are going to visit the existing .com site because www.hotmail.com is too many key presses? They probably didnt need to read their email that much anyhow, right?
webbrowser history, whats that?
c'mon guys.. this is probably what people thought when typewritters were invented... "now why in the whorld would u use one of them thar typewriters and punch each key when you can just write it down, its much faster"
heh

Less key press which like UI design. Who need better user interface design ?
In some circumstances, users have to use poor UI for accomplish certain task. But if competitors have much better UI design which one do you choose ?
In many circumstances, user just want to get contains as easy as possible, they hate more key presses !
Web history could not replace first time URL input on mobile device.

Yahoo coming out with mobile text ads - full story at wsj.com (subscription needed). Now just need to find a way to build a mobile compliant webpage with some content so this can be used. Parking sites should all be coming out with mobile parking too I would think, especially if the advertisers are there.
"Yahoo today is set to begin showing keyword-based ads on mobile phones in the U.S. and the U.K. The Web giant is testing the ad program on its mobile Web service, which allows users to perform keyword searches on most mobile phones and hand-held devices. The testing starts with a select group of 100 advertisers. Pricing is the same as Web search, using an online auction that charges only for ads that are clicked. The company said that ad rates appear to be comparable to Web search, but may prove to be even more lucrative than PC Web search over time. Mobile advertising, especially in the U.S., is small and undeveloped. In some countries, like South Africa, Web-enabled devices have become the primary method for many to access the Internet. Yahoo rival Google has also held tests of mobile advertising, but a full-scale rollout of its mobile ad services is still forthcoming."

Just regged ww1.mobi and ww2.mobi, not bad google stats and overture stats for these two, also in 2014 its the 100 years aniversary of WW1! Could be ideal domains for history enthusiasts, or WW1&2 merchandise such as books, dvd's and artifacts. Taking into account that mobile websites start to kick off that is!
ww1 is nice name. I like it very much
GoDaddy is the first one supporting .mobi pages shown on Mobile phones
