I don't mean this just with regard to DotMobi, but with any speculative property don't lose site of what the real risk is. Sending it to auction will take away your future opportunity, but it actually eliminates all risk for you.Send it to auction and risk losing it at low/mid xxx
I am conservative in general, so my opinion is to send a domain to auction pretty much anytime you get the opportunity. Good luck.
I think send it to auction mate you'll definetly make your money back on it!
My .mobi portfolio at Mobi-Broker.com
If it's their first offer, then counter & then send it to auction![]()
or they may accept![]()
As long as the counter is not stupid, you shouldn't scare them away.
Remember, most people who might be interested & imo will only be a few, won't pay a great deal for it.
Most people buying .mobi are resellers & therefore won't pay high prices unless obviously a premium domain they can resell or develop.
I know this has good development potential & is nice domain, but it's not premium.
I would counter say $1500. If it's an enduser they may well accept or counter with high $xxx or more.
Good Luck

Thanks for the advice Preditor. I value your opinion here.
I live on the eastcoast of the united states and I really see great potential here as it covers about 13 states...I may counter at a level I feel comfortable with and if they counter back at low xxxx...I'll send to auction...
Otherwise I'm fine with keeping this one to develop.
I'll let you all know what happens.
THANKS!
so who bought it?

add it to the reported list![]()
congrats on sale. hopefully they will develop & you made a great profit!
Thanks Predator...it paid for a good chunk of my .mobi regs, but still do have a little seller's remorse.
Edit: I just checked and saw I have not been payed ...and the name is still being held up...it is really taking for ever for the transfer to take place...maybe because it is a .mobi?
the transfer finished Thursday morning..
heh, suprised neither of you guys noticed who bought it when i asked...
anyway, yea sedo will sometimes take forever to acknowledge that the domain is transferred away and transaction should be complete... i JUST got my check sent to me for 601.mobi that i put on sedo auction like 2 months ago or something.. guy has had control of the domain for 3 weeks and they finnally sent a check 2 days ago..
we all need to sell a couple to balance the books. it's a solid sale. don't worry. you both got a good deal. best way
nb: mobis are as easy to transfer as any other domain. normally registrars are cool, just sedo need their hand holding sometimes
lol, congrats matt. you're developing this one i take it?

thanks, its the most ive spent on a .mobi so far (that was not a NNN.mobi)
my landrush pre-registration typo of Eastcoast was eating at me... EastCOST.mobi didnt look as good..
the words eastcoast and westcoast are pretty widely used here in the U.S...
anyway, ill send sedo a note saying transfer is complete... maybe thatll hurry them along, doubt it tho..
Hey thanks...check out the message I just got from sedo.com...and mind you I asked to receive payment via paypal....
We have processed and sent you your payment for this domain. Please note that international wire transfers can take up to 14 days to reach your account.
Looks like Sedo keeps money for 14 days to get the interest...not much interest on this transaction but for the bigger ones and for the number of transactions they process....it really makes a difference and adds up for them.
