It may require a bit of advertising to take off. Then again, there is no precedent. Who knows how many type-ins you could get. I think it depends on how common place it becomes for people to refer to text messages as sms.
It sounds a bit techi and not everyone will know sms means text. I think it is easy to remember though.

I am really not familiar setting up sites with domains, although I have parked many of my domains.
