at least with .whatever you secure your funds.... even if the DN ends up being naff, the easy numeric type ins / short keypad / cool words .mobis will always have a value..... unlike the Zune

Well, from where i live, mobile companies are booming everywhere. No matter where I am standing, eating and no matter what im doing (walking, singing karaoke, eating...) everyone is using their mobile phone accessing websites. I dont mean to boast, but i have to say that Asia is well ahead in mobile technology. And there are more mobile website users in asia than america, europe, India, etc. Also, asians use their mobile phone accessing the internet than using their pc. This is a fact.
There are also many mobile website magazines here and their mobile phone access is either by QRcode or entering the address into the mobile phone. and these mobile URLs are like; www.8-8cashino.tv or www.venus-6in.net.
Also, with 5 years of mobile website research and development in japan, .mobi will be a "($#('#$ing success. I am very much for .mobi. Maybe it doesnt work well in your country, but i am sure that you could get some customers in japan.

the .mobi "use" worldwide will be MASSIVE, regardless of any value in actual names.... you are SPOT on 100% correct that asia is ahead of the states and other places.... so regardless of what anyone else thinks or commits to in the industry, there is enough "business" in asia to support the .mobi alone

any short keypad sequences / numbers / company names/services/etc will be worth LOADS MORE in a few years......

so if you have a $ laying around in a fund, bond, etc worth thinking about the ROI on .mobi DN as have Pred and various others with their heads screwed on....

They will use wireless and the other extensions making .mobi totally useless unless mobiles will overtake laptops but then they will have to make bigger screens.......who will win between pocket laptops and bigger mobiles?

If they make 'laptops' that small, they will not call them laptops anymore.
They will also need to bow to public demand & add camera function, video, music, telephone calls etc & make it portable.
That reminds me of something..........oh yeah, cell phones.
