Register Today on DNForum IT'S FREE!There appear to be only about a dozen LLL mobi domains left as of the time of this post (9.30pm Eastern on Saturday, October 28).
It would seem proper for the .mobi bulls to organize a donation of DNF dollars to the person who registers the last available 3-letter (LLL) domain.
In order to claim your place in domain history (whether a group donation materializes or not), please post below the time you registered your LLL.mobi today.
Only the time stamps of post that are not edited later will be recognized as valid entries. Obviously they also need to include the actual domain name.
Please kindly refrain from sending me PM's regarding this thread, thank you.![]()

Same here
I would love to, but that wouldn't be fair to other people.
Use your imagination - try the most useless 3-letter combinations you can think of and check them at the official whois (mtld.mobi).
hmmm..tried a bunch...all taken..found some good generics though!
If you are not going to post the names then maybe you should file this post in the "useless" catagory. I don't see any other point for it. ??
wow....there were literally thousands left when I registered a bunch yesterday.
I guess the TRAFFIC auction results got people running to their registrars for a slice of the .MOBI pie.
Yes, Several groups want Make a batch, and Want huge profits for the portfolio.
PapaStiz: I kind of understand where you're coming from, but the purpose of this post is not to change history - just to record it.
Gone!!!!
So shall we all start regging 4 letters now?
im happy with my 3 char.com i don't really think overally the .mobi ext will do well. Its well hyed in the domain community but not much to the public
I still dont believe in dot mobi, Looks like the traffic auction served its goal as all you folks are going crazy and regging dot.mobis,
4 letters .mobi or 4 letters .net, which will be dry out faster?![]()
hmm.. maybe im just insane from regging so many .mobis (and im sure someone would be happy to quote that line of text later in this thread).. but i wonder how long itll take for the NNNN.mobi registry to run out..
not that random numbers are anything great.. but keep in mind this extention has a lot to do with phones.. yes i know "its not just phones blah blah blah"
you know those silly commercials you see on tv at night (and now even during the day)... stuff like "TEXT JOKE8 TO 38532 AND RECEIVE THE JOKE OF THE DAY".... or "TEXT FLIRT3 TO 94345 AND RECEIVE TEXT MESSAGES FROM HOT YOUNG GIRLS NOW!"
Yea they make me laugh to.. if any of you have seen the second commercial that you can 'Flirt' via text messaging, im sure you laughed just as hard..
Anyway, there were about 9000 NNNN.mobi available a couple hours after .mobi went live.. There were around 17,000 LLL available also at that time.. the LLL are now gone, and although i personally didnt throw any money at random LLL's i cant help but wonder when the NNNN registry is going to run out.. keep in mind, this isnt just .com, .net, or .org NNNN's... its mobi, and most mobile devices in hand right now are cellular phones, with numbers on their keys as the primary buttons.... whereas on a desktop/laptop the numbers are secondary, therefore not directly assosiated with "links" or some sort of speed-dial..
i realize this probably comes off as pointless rambling to some.. just some thoughts bouncing around in my head tho..
I'll be honest not a numeric fan unless a truly special number in any extension.
Problem i have with numbers for .mobi is when you open the browser on your phone it reverts to letters immediately, not numbers. Having said that, some numbers will do well without a doubt. However overture points to peoples habits, & what they actually key in.
