Premium drops is a nice service... However, its a service that uses SOME of the DRT features. With the DRT you can explore new ways to find domain names, the tool is not JUST developed to scan expired domain names.

I agree that both have their strengths. Keep in mind that the custom scans feature of PremiumDrops allows you to scan your own lists of names with their servers, and then you can always download the list in DRT format and organize the names with that.

I've mailed DRT with some questions, but get no answer. The site hasn't been updated for a while also...
Maybe you can help me...

I've heard downloading of the zonefiles doesn't work.
What are your experiences?

I am interested in buying this tool, but before that somebody please tell me,

Is it our domain results scanned with this tool is 100% safe,
ie, is it possible to sniff out the scanned results some how??

Hello, lately I have been not able to use DRT at all since while I scan a list of just 20,000 names of just .COM domains, it keeps going slow and not able to check the whois so it gives false AVAILABLE results.
My broadband connection works fine and DRT used to work fine as well till last month.

Everytime I write to their support I get no answer and even here when I send a PM to Luc, if I am very lucky I get a reply after a week.

I`m very frustrated.

What could I do or check?

The .org whois hasn't worked for me for months and I have submitted it several times.

It seems lately the system has slowed a little bit, but it's still fast.

Affiliate payments have not been going out either as I haven't got mine. Not sure if Luc is in hiding or what the deal is.

Their is a note in the software that says.. A big update with new features and bug fixes is in the works. Expected release date 8-1-08.

I have to admit, the CS has been very poor lately.

Same here Yofie, I have never got affiliate payment from DRT. I've tried to contact the support but without success, so I've removed the affiliate banners from my sites and stopped to promote this software to my friends.

I believe Luc is currently working on an update to DRT that should take care of these issues. I've notified him also of this thread so he's aware of these issues.

DRT is a very strong tool, I've been using it for more than a year now with 100% satisfaction, I also think that a *NIX version is a very good idea as I'm under linux most of the time recentely.
