I write and manage other writers, and we're building an article database for the purpose of trading articles in exchange for backlinks. (no cash involved). Most articles are to be used for gambling affiliate sites, but we can produce content in any subject.
Still, it is hard to find people to take up on our offer, and when they do, they usually take 2-3 articles. Don't people want 100 original articles to build up a complete affiliate site?
Any tips for reaching webmasters in need of content?

Try ppc-sites.com I have a whole heap of their sites and each has about 500 articles.

Tractor, I think you misunderstood. I am not looking for content, I create and provide the content.

I am looking for webmasters (clients) who want a large amount of content for free to build up affiliate (or non-affiliate) sites.

Do you and your writers do content in languages other than English? If so which languages?

I think problem is with backlinks.
If I have diet related site...
Post your articles relate to diet.
This article contain backlinks to other diet related site, I assume.
I lose hard earned visitors to linked site, possibly competing site.

I think this is main reason why you don't get much signups.

Perhaps you'll get more customers if you offer content writing
service with reasonable rate ($/100 words).

I rather pay $ for unique contents without any backlinks to competing sites

copper > That is true, but that is not what I'm trying to do: my ideal "client" is someone who wants to build up an affiliate site quick with unlimited relevant original, SEO -optimized content for free, Someone who wants to be indexed as a respectible and relevant website quickly. Or someone with an existing website who wants more relevant content to be indexed in inner pages.
Most recipients do not usually put my articles in the HP, but rather in inner pages for SEO content value.
My interest is not "stealing" direct traffic from the website of the article recipient, it is for SEO purposes only i.e having the SE recognize my links from relevant content in relevant websites.

I am not ruling out asking for cash in exchange for articles, but I'm going to stay with this plan for a while.

I would be willing to take hundreds of articles under these conditions. The problem is I do not have any gambling related sites. If there were topics in my niches, I would most likely jump at this if the article is of benefit to my users.

Yes, I understand. These domains are parked and waiting to be developed. I would develop the sites and add your content and links. I am fine with your link requirements, if you'd like to strike something up, I'd be happy to start developing.

I'd probably start with JeuxVidéos.net or LaTélévision.com for devlopment first.

I am interested in original content as well. Sounds like a good idea. I would try advertising here in the advertising sections, and I would suggest putting up a web-site and offering your services, and advertising.

Nick your English is obviously fine but I found a typo on your site right away:
"Papular Articles"
"Top 50 Papular Articles"

...and typos in your line of work could be deal killers.
