Average cost that I pay is about 2 - 5 cents a word depending on the writer and the quality of their work. Rewrites are about 1 cent a word.

We've been paying 3 cents a word for general stuff, rewrites and such, but have paid up to 8 cents a word for specialist writers with in depth knowledge in certain niches.

I've tried a few services writing articles at 1 cent a word, but I didn't like their articles at all. Some of them were only a mash of sentences and paragraphs from other websites, so the articles were not original.

However, I've found good writers charging only 2 cents a word. I use services in that price range for general articles that don't require too much in-depth knowledge. Specialist writers charge higher prices, of course.

Rates depend on niche. Like article on SEO topic may cost 5 cent-10 cent per word. But on general topic rate being from 2 cent-5 cent. Rates vary with quality of writer too.

My girlfriend freelances sometimes and charges around $8-10/page. She's a pre-med student and comes from a family of doctors so has some deep knowledge of medical stuff.

I don't how much that turns out in terms of cost per word.

This is an insane price!

I pay up to 3 cents per word for US / UK natives, but I prefer paying a bit less.

HI

There are people that will write a 500 word article for you for $5 but they would not be the best.... I have a good writer I pay $8 for 500 words and the articles are ok... but for really good content you may spend $15 or more for 500 words..

So it depends on your writing skill for what you can charge and what you are willing to work for...

Thx
Tom

Every writer charges different rates.

I normally charge 2-3 cents per word depending on the amount of content needed. However, due to the economy and more people doing the work themselves I have been charging less lately and offering more bulk packages.
