Country: | Launguage issue? I picked up a domain though Pool ( a nice .net). When I got it I did anticipate developing it but for the time I parked it. It was getting a fair amount of traffic - 5-10 hits a day. I did some research and found out it used to be an active site and had backlinks but the site and all of the back links are in German. I can count the German words I know on one hand (not incluidng schutzhund commands). The good news is that I have a friend (whose site I also run) is fluent in German (has translated many documents (in the same field as the domain) form English to German and vice versa). I'm sure I could work out a trade with him (promoting his books on the site etc..). I'm wondering a couple of things: 1) How should I set it up? The English is going to be at domain.net but should I do a subdomain (deutsch.domain.net) or a subfolder (domain.net/deutsch/) - I'm thinking for SEO it would be better to use the folder (since a dubdomain is looked at as a different domain in an SEO standpoint). 2) Can you set up AdSense in German? (Or other nearby languages - the domain also has some Belgian traffic).
