"Social networks also give users a false sense of trust. Only in the state of Maryland could the idiots in the general assembly think that this is a good idea.

Twitter will be the next land of disputed name claims.

Tony Hawk just recently got his name. Hugh Jackman has to use TheRealHughJackman.

Sounds like the next arena for the cyber cops and cyber attorneys to get into.

the landgrab for great twitter names is definitely shaping up to be similar to the land grab for great domain names.

we domainers have a leg up on understanding the true value of a good name compared to the general public, and we should translate this knowledge into regging and building out good twitter names, just like we reg and build out good domain names.

for all the newbies out there that are constantly compaining that all the great domain names got snapped up in the 1990s and early 2000s..... Now's your chance - Great Twitter names could be the next great business opportunity in my opinion

Those that seek a .com alternative in the social media circus and/or new crap TLD's like .tel need to have a reality check.

For the record, it's against the TOS to engage in selling of twitter accounts.

twitter extensions are not domains or land...only space in an enclosed network.

it's no different than the craze on gmail and myspace accounts when they first launched.

now... who really cares
