Advertising options for affiliate sites?

Hi all,

If you make a site that is simply advertising aka affiliates, or even an affiliate data feed that pulls in their products, how do you get your site know?

It's not likely to achieve much with search engines and there's so many viral advertising options that I have no idea which ones are any good.

Any advice or suggestions?

Make your site unique, or forget about generating much traffic from the search engines.

If your site has its own rss feed, you could submit that to directories, etc.

Bookmark it in MyYahoo and Google Bookmarks.

A blog on blogger.com or wordpress.com (general articles with relevant content) would allow you a couple of backlinks to your site.

Signature links in forums

Publish a series of articles in some of the good article directories.

A funky YouTube video designed to promote your site .....

Offline marketing - newspaper advertising could be expensive - creative offline marketing could work well for this.

i have a whole series of sites a network so to speak just like this www.I8OO.Com and make very very well from them

Run pay-per-click traffic to them. It's measurable and testable which means when you have your site profitable, scaling volume is generally easy.
