    Alternatives to adsense...

So adsense isn't cutting it anymore... what other options are out there. I've just signed up with cpaempire but I've never tried cpa/cps type advertising.

    Any other suggestions out there?

Here are a few I think are a waste of time:
adbrite - make a few pennies,
    clixgalore - waste of time,
chitika - made a few pennies as well.

BTW, take a look at my sig.

    Re: Alternatives to adsense...

    I used these as well:

ClickBooth - CPA, CPS, haven't made anything.
Clicksor - Made pennies, poor management,
    ClickXchange - Waste of time.
Commission Junction - CPA, CPS, haven't made anything. There are many reviews here.
Kontera - New, just started with them. I'm making 0.15, cpm, someone else here reported 0.35.
Revenue Pilot - Made pennies with them as well.

Adsense is not cutting it any more because there are too many sites in categories you selected. You can still make the killing the right nitch and if you work on it. Arcades are making 0$ because there is like millions of them out there.

they pay better per click, but they really need to work on getting the ads targeted for the page.

Traffic to pages that do not have targeted ads is lost rev.

I've SEO'ed pages that work great with Ad$ but just will not pull ads from Y!

Either blank ad space, wrong ads displayed, or need to refresh the page to get correct ads to show.

If you have any tips...I'm listening

    Re: Alternatives to adsense...

Personally Adsense is more targeted and in the long run makes the most money over YPN. Sure YPN may pay more but tell me how many times you visit a site to see a Vonage ad. YPN doesn't have nearly the advertisers Adsense does. My vote still stays with Adsense.

YPN is good if you are in US, otherwise Bidvertiser seems to be better than the rest

I got an email today from YPN saying that for my account they will no longer be providing targetted ad options yet I may still display ads...to which I responded.."I thought it was always like this?!" lol
I'm buying credit, banking, loan, insurance related generics in .com, .net, .org with high search volumes/traffic. Will consider typos too! - PLEASE PM with name, info, & asking price!

I would recommend Bidvertiser, they are in many ways similar to Adsense. The pay is comparable as well.

I would like to see something like Adsense but where I can choose the types of ads, I think debt consolodation/credit repair would be good for videogame sites. LOL!

    Re: Alternatives to adsense...

Adsense and ypn still pay the best, all the rest contextual programs mentioned here pay 5-10 times less on average.
So you'll just have to look for cpa, or cpm ads depending on your site

    AzoogleAds
    PrimaryAds

There are dozens of CPA networks out there, but those are my two favorites. CPC advertising is doomed to fail over the long term, CPA will soon take its place as the most popular revenue generating model on the web.

YPN offered that feature...and it basically destroyed the network for obvious reasons.
