AuctionAds

has anyone already used AuctionAds.com?
Just wondering, is it worth.
From their site:
Quote:
Auction Ads allows you to monetize your website by displaying live eBay auctions next to your related copy.
Quote:
How do I earn money with Auction Ads?

When your site's visitors click on an Auction Ad listing and take an action on eBay you earn cash. Actions are defined as a Winning Bid, a Buy-it-Now or a confirmed user registration. AuctionAds is committed to paying out a minimum of 100% of eBay commission revenue. See eBay's affiliate program for details on the payout.
And visiting the eBay payout page we see:
Quote:
  • Earn between 50% and 75% of eBay’s Revenue (not item sale price) on Winning Bids or Buy It Now (BIN) transactions.
  • Earn between $25.00 and $35.00 for each new eBay active user (ACRU)
As I can see the ad formats are similar to Adsense and YPN, except the images.

p.s. Willing to try it, if there is anyone already registered with them send me your affiliate url

Re: AuctionAds

Hi -

Im kinda late to this message - comes with being a nooB around here!

My first impression of AuctionAds was not good, but that quickly changed! I have been signed up for only 3 weeks now, and within the first week the server was down more than it was up!

I tested the java pull on two different websites - one established and one that was just launched.

On the first site - I have about 400-500 uniques each day and do well with adwords since it is really a niche market and easy to rank with. The AA Ads on that site pulled a fairly high click rate - but I saw no results in the form of actual earnings. When the ball dropped on the server hiccups, I pulled the ads down. Well - the AA script actually gives you credit for purchases that occur within 30 days of the triggered visit, so over the past week I have seen some actual modest rates (Average $3.00 +/- per click/buy)

The second website I used them on is still in the indexing process... no real data to provide on that one yet.

In the time using AA - I found the downside to be that you need to create a set of keywords for every page you want them on, if the targeted words are different - the ads are not contextual. For me, I just declared a variable on the pages called "prodkeys", put the target keywords into that variable, then call it from the script when it executes...

Now each page delivers targeted ads for the keywords I declared.

Note: I have found that using more than 2 keywords is useless with them... In my case, I target 2-3 at most for the ads.

Mark

Re: AuctionAds

probably worth a try, although I mostly seen negative comments on the forums.

People say it's a good addition to adsense, but they forget that people clicking on auction ads could have clicked adsense and compared to adsense the ecpm on aa is usually ridiculously low

Interesting, thanks meetmydomains and BlazeD for the info. I will probably give it a try on some of my websites.

I tried them with one of my sites but the performance was horrible. Good clicks, but no money. It could have been the targeting.
