Website Advertisers

Forum Members
I have a website that is doing 900-1200 unique visitors per day, 1.5 Million page views last year and have already passed that for this year. My question is this:

I am planning a classifieds section also
Already have an article section that I will be opening soon to the public to contribute

I want to get some big company advertisers
I have several sections that I can approachthe companies about that are clearly divided into their product areas.

How would you approach them?

What would you charge without chasing them away?

I am aware of the pluses to the site as it is one of a kind in a growing industry with many additions that can be added.

but........I am stuck on what to charge or if there is a formula

Averaging 5500 page requests per day
About 300-500 new visitors a day

Thanks for any opinions

Look at what they would be paying with adwords, and charge a bit more (or a lot more if you can really milk it).

Adwords

You cant go by adwords as there advertising budget may not even include adwords on this product and it may also be spread out to yahoo ads and msn ads depending on their target market if it is being used.

If they spend 2000-10000 per month in online ads, I really dont think they will discontinue doing that so it would be in addition to that, but adwords would not get the targeting of the exact product they have and my website would because it is in fact a site with their main products on it.

If you were a major manufacturer and could be the exclusive advertiser in your own product section, instead of showing all other competing products via adsense-affiliate or other, what would that be worth to you as a manufacturer or distributor of the product.

250, 500, 1000 per month

That is the question

They don't need to be advertising with adwords. What I mean is you check what similar advertisers would be paying per click with adwords.
