Register Today on DNForum IT'S FREE!I have an "alcohol abuse" web page that shows "domain parking" ads.
The site is currently a single page with three ad blocks and one link unit; all are showing non-relevant ads when the file is correctly named "index.html."
The strange part is that they become relevant if I change the index.html file to a different name and type that address in directly. I have even tried naming it an irrelevant filename and it still shows the correct ads for the content. When I switch it back to index.html, the domain parking ads reappear.
I have other single-page sites located on the same Hosting server and they all show the correct ads for their content.
Has anyone seen this? Can anyone tell me what I can do to correct the problem? Any help would be appreciated.
-Brian
Make sure you have the keyword in title, description and on site around the adsense blocks
I have a similar site, pm me I might help you![]()

That wouldn't explain why it gives relavent ads when I change the web page's file name. Heck, I even changed the page name to domain-parking.html and it still shows the correct "alcohol abuse" content ads... then when I change it back to index.html, the domain parking ads are back again.
However, just to humor idea, I went ahead and wrote a 360-word article about alcoholism and posted it on the page within the ads... it's still showing "doamin parking" adsense ads.
I have the words "addiction program" and "drug abuse" in my title, not to mention that the word "alcohol" is the first word in the domain name.
Also, the Adense scripts are located on each side of the articles.
I may do that. Thanks.![]()

If you are using Wordpress, do not use link or text on website title.
Example is i used to have a site named Crunchsite.com, it's all about reviewing affiliate programs, but since i used Crunchsite.com as a link/text at the header, the ads showing on the adsense was about "abs" or abdomen reduction, it was about health and exercise.
What i did was change the header into image and repeatedly use "money making" or "earning money" in my articles, and it solved the problem.

Is there a min amount of content you need? I had an established site I am redoing. 4myphysique.com. I built the layout first using adsense stuff. I am just now starting to ad content. I added a 1 paragraph header, keywords, and a description. But the adsense bars have 0 to do with my content. I am just hoping that if i spend mega time on this that they will change. Do they go by # of pages? content on home page? I can throw some stuff up and see if it helps. Rather then try and build a site on this format and have it not work.
UPDATE:
I've had this happen to a couple other websites sine my original issue. I never did find out the reason why some of my sites gave wrong ads... but the solution was all the same. I just contacted Google via the Adsense help section and the ads were all resolved well within 24 hours.
If they do, it's not much. I have some sites that have no more than 50 words of content along with Adsense ads and a few pictures. They are basically homemade parking pages.
In most cases, Google has no problems matching the ads -- in other cases (as mentioned in my other post above) I have to contact Google before the ads are correct.
Like I mentioned above, just contact Google, and they should be able to make the ads match.
. . . although, good additional content couldn't hurt the overall performance of the site.![]()
