Country: | Correct positioning of AdSense Can anyone advise me as to what is allowed or not allowed in relation to the positioning of AdSense on a site, or give me a link to their rules about this. I read through the rules I found on their site, but they didn't mention positioning. There was a reference to illegal placing somewhere else on the forum recently, but the suggestion was the coding had been changed to achieve this, so hopefully I won't come against this. Are there any rules, for example, about the number of box ads you can have per page, or is it all just a matter of taste or design?

Country: | You are not allowed to edit the code and they must be displayed as ads - not as part of the site / article (which is kinda hard to do w/o editing the code). No more than 3 units per page, too.

Country: | Thanks, Ed. But when you say 'no more than 3 units,' what exactly does this refer to? Surely it's not 3 ads, as I've seen landing pages with 10 or more on them.

| David | A unit can contain multiple ads, depending on unit size. If you also have an Adlink bar too I believe you can have one more set of ads in addition to the 3 units, for 4 total, last time I checked that anyway. Read their TOS. Last edited by trader; 10-08-2009 at 04:08 PM.. Reason: typo |

Country: | Thanks, Trader. I'm trying to find them to do that. But a book I've come across says you're only allowed 2 units per page, so I need to check that too.

Country: | Quote: ![]() I've read it now, Acro, and there's a line: You can place one link unit and 3 regular ad units. I'm not sure what these are. Would a large rectangular box be a link unit or a regular ad unit?

Basically the link units are lines of text link ads. Genreally speaking anything inside a box or banner is a regular adsence unit. Its fairly simple to work out whats what, when you look at the ad creation control panel.
