Country: | Trying to make money with Google Adsense can be a very frustrating experience, especially if you have a popular website and yet you still are battling to make a decent living off Adsense. We all know how frustrating it can be to try and increase our Adsense CTR's, it can be a painstaking and frustrating task of experimenting. We take risks, we experiment with our Ad Placements, We try and trick our sites visitors to click on ads with them thinking it is part of our site. We have to be cunning, like a greedy fox.... wether we like it or not, we try and confuse people into clicking our ads... maybe not all of us, but I would say most of us. We all experiement with our layouts, the ad font or background colours, should we use rounded ads, squared ads or ads without borders. We work tirelessly on our ad placements, our Ad colours, the ad sizes, we wonder wether to use text links on certain pages and normal ads on the other pages or mix and match both text and ad links. I would say 30% of my monthly earnings are from text links, the other 70% from normal Adsense ads. When I say 30% and 70%, it does not mean I am earning alot of money, but hey, it pays for my cigarettes and hosting fees... if I gave up smoking then maybe I would earn some good money to put away for a rainy day. I have been with adsense for 4 years and still on a daily basis I battle with my ads, trying to improve the CTR's. So My Questions to people who make good money and Questions on behalf of not just me, but others who want to earn more money with Adsense. 1. What has helped improve your CTR's and Earnings Increases. 2. Has there ever been a time for you when you hit the Adsense Jackpot, where your earnings went of meagre earnings one day and the next day they skyrocketed and have stayed that way? 3. If you have bought Adsense E-Books, what E-Books would you recommend? 4. What layouts have work for you? 5. How do you trick people to click the ads 6. Does blending your ads into the content work better. 7. What would be your best advice in relationship to improving adsense earnings? So many questions! Feel free to offer any tips and your adsense secrets here.

Country: | There are so many variables to give a focused answer, and you listed many. One of the wackier is I've seen sales and clicks get better just by changing the background color from a darker (brownish) to lighter (yellow-orange) and that work for a while. -Never bought a ebook, -I blend some ads -images only ads do good on many of my product pages. -Images next to ads. -good on page seo to get relevant ads to display. -I had a "jackpot site" about 2 years ago. I was ahead of the wave, then the space got flooded and over competitive and dropped back to "normal". Was a nice ride for 6-8 months though.... Things can change at a moments notice when Search Engines "reshuffle" their index. Then you get to start again..... |

Good content and frequent updates. Make content that people want to see and come back for more. I also *always* have a search bar though Google Adsense. Quote:
Yes and sadly, no. Now my average is up to about $15-$20 a month though Adsense but one day a few months ago I got $35 from one site. Never happened again, I think they deliberately pull high paying ads sometimes. ![]() Quote:
Nope. Quote:
Traffic and revenue jumped on every site that I went form plain old HTML / CSS / PHP etc. to Wordpress. I'm talking 10-15 hits a day to 40-50 hits a day (one is up to 100 hits a day now). Wordpress also looks very nice & easy to manage the content. Quote:
I don't, I just make sure that the content would bring up ads people would want to click on. (Easier said than done). "Tricking" people into clicking on the ads, IMO, is a deceptive pratice and will only annoy your visitors down the road, thus lowering your traffic. I do, however, take advantage of affiliate programs that are related (Amazon etc..) and if I recommend a product, you can be sure that there will be an Amazon affiliate link in there for the product. I never tried it but when I see it, I don't like it. Its bad enough my TV programs get interrupted wiht commercials, now my blogs? Quote:
Build up traffic with good quality content. If you build it, they will come.

DNF$: 3,688 Location: New York | My process is Qualify my content Get relevant backlinks Move up in ranking, move up in hits rinse repeat Once you cross certain thresholds there is a dynamic feedback loop generated... Your site gets more clicks , exceeding 5k per month, then 10k, 50k, 100k, etc. Advertisers have to pay more and more to get on your site with each monthly hit count Your clicks generate more revenue, your site gets more hits and you go from .10 per day to $1 per day to $10 per day. Adsense is paying twice as much per click and you are getting 5x the traffic, simple soution! Depending on the model you can really improve over a longer period, such as my Diablo3Release site. It will be a year or two before the product is launched and it's already generating decent revenue. By the time the game is released, it will be earning 100x its current daily rate. Lots of work but the formula isn't too difficult. |

DNF$: 6,457 Location: DnMagnate.com | Couple years ago adsense was my main source income brining $xx,xxx per month, untill I had my two main accounts banned... so whatever you do don't rely too much on google. I'm also seeing the link units doing pretty good, for some sites even better than the ads. Try to add more often. |
