Selling an 8 years old gaming website that has reviews, previews, cheats, and news for video games for many systems.

In addition, and possibly a major selling point: all industry contacts are included (since you'll have all the email addresses they send things too), and gaming companies send video games to be reviewed.

Admin System
Custom coded admin system that includes WYSIWYG editor for articles, java image uploaded and manages all the content in one easy area.

Front end
PHP custom coded front end running on a mySQL database.

server Specs
Currently running on a dreamhost package with no issues but in 2006 the site had to move up to a VPS due to using a lot of resources.

The Story
The site was very popular in 2006 and into 2007. In May of 2007 the VPS the site was on as well as the backup server it was supposed to backup to crashed. We lost a lot of content and the site had a hard time recovering. It still includes a lot of content including content from the days of the Dreamcast and N64.

The staff is currently still relatively active. They review games that are sent to them via gaming companies as well as some of their owns. One of my admins is running the site and I have had extremely limited interaction. If a new person comes in (you) and revamps some aspects of the site I'd bet the staff will work harder because their work will be more recognized.
