I bought this site at the beginning of the year, in this thread. The only major difference now is that according to Webalizer the site is averaging around 600 visits per day now.


It's still a PR 5.

Google shows close to 20K pages indexed.

Adsense and Amazon earnings are around the same.

I never even change the Fastclick over to my account, which leads me into the reason for selling. I'm trying to focus myself on specific niche, and Dragons isn't it. It's using between 10 and 20 GB of data transfer per month. The domain is at Dotster.

I'm going to take offers on this for the next five days.

you may want to answer your bidder's question and say if there is a BIN or not. ignoring them makes you not look so good, just some advice

1. what is the AWS (Did you have any problems with your hoster)
2. can I see the stats (into PR if you like)

Hi, I'm not ignoring the question about a BIN, I just went to sleep directly after that last post. Just woke up a short time ago. Give me time to wake up and I'll see what I can think of for a BIN. Seems there's a lot of interest. I have a $300 bit from Fryman, and a private message bid of $400, but am not sure if that $400 is a solid bid or just an offer to end the bidding at that price (which I won't do just yet).

I'm having a hard time verifying the PR of 5.

Phrases from the home page (such as "Dragon's Dungeon") don't seem to rank as high as they should in Google (not in top 100).

Backlinks (using the major engines) don't show up any good links. Is there any other way I can find out if the PR is genuine?

Also, are stats available to view?

To be honest, I don't know why the search engines like this site so much either. All I can say is that I neither sought to add backlinks, or remove any while I owned the site. Yet, the traffic has greatly increased since January. More than half of the SE traffic is from Jeeves, the rest a mix of the usual, Yahoo, MSN, Google, and the minors. Obviously, I cannot guarantee future performance. The only thing I've done with the site since I have owned it is change the Adsense ads to my own, and change the Amazon affiliate ID in the AWS pages. This site is one of the very few that I've seen that the old saying "if you build it they will come" can be applied to. Anyway, buying a site based on what the Google Toolbar says about it is unwise.
