Since you mention that there was very minimal exposure, could you elaborate more on where your traffic came from? (No need to give away all of your "secrets", just want to check as to whether its organic)
I don't think this site is as unique as you think it is, and people general tend to base the value of a site more on facts than speculation. Even a month or two of solid revenue stats would definately give more of a basis for a buyer to make their decision. |

You speak of possible upgrades, what do you mean, more coding adding more features to a script? What is this chain letter issue? Why in the world would you throw out a six figure request for this site based on the potential, I mean I think you can sell it but wouldn't we all throw a site up and make a $100k a month, it's just not that simple. Potential is great for all websites but many things can stunt growth. What kinds of problems are you experiencing with this site with 5k users? Something that can be fixed or is the code in need of repair. I like the concept but many questions. Cheers,
Acro

Acro | I have a list of upgrades that would bring this website to the next level. But I have neither the time, nor money to release a gamefray 2.0. I am experiencing problems with creating income. I generate many members, and good pageviews. But I just canno't seem to get income. This is why converting gamefray.com to a paid low yearly membership would create lots of income. And with the list of upgrades I have made, a large % of the members would be willing to pay for a $20 - $30 a year membership. But alas, I don't have the capital to make the upgrades, so I am selling gamefray.com
Update: There is now 15,000 members. I achieve these results with minimal adwords and organic search results. If the homepage was also updated, sign up ratios would increase dramatically. |

You really need to understand how unique this idea, and website really is. It is no "MySpace Clone", and is unique in many ways. I think the first month trend, which was accomplished with very minimal exposure, shows the real potential that the website really has. There are already thousands of pages indexed in google, yahoo, and the other search engines.
Maybe your right, it may be a good idea to run the website for 6 months, but most likely the asking price will be way more by then, who knows.
Lets just use Value Click Media network as an example or earnings potential.
Lets just say with 5,000 members, there is 25,000 pageviews a day, which there is. Average epm is $2 for that network. So lets say you put 2 different banner sizes on each page. It would be a epm of $4. So $4 x 25 = $100 per day.
Now lets say you had 10 times the members. That would be $1,000 a day.
There are also many upgrades that can be made to increase the # of pageviews per person, and with these upgrades I could probably double the pageviews per person. If that was the case, then it would be $2,000 a day.
Just by looking at it this way, I hope it helps you see the potential. |
If you think this is true, they why don't u try it and show us the results? |

Since I started this topic, it has gone up 10,000 members. Since I replied to it a day ago, it maybe hasn't gone up much. This is because I completely cut off all adwords and marketing campaigns, because I canno't afford to spend anymore money.
I am not sure what kind of details you guys want?
