Register Today on DNForum IT'S FREE!I sold a similar directory here a few days ago that was a tax accountant directory. After quite a few people PMed me I decided to sell this directory also.
The site was put together by another member here at DNForum for $800 about a year ago. That price was reasonable I think for the work involved, the cost of the script and the database. One of the PMs I got a couple days ago, after I sold the accounts directory, said this:
That guy got a good deal. I know it costs some money to put a site like that togther. I have XXXXXdirectory.com which I spent a few thousand on. Very large database.
CaliforniaNevadaRealty(.)com has about 92,000 listings of real estate agents in both California and Nevada, which of course are next to each other. I know agents who can work in both states so i thought it would make sense to combine a directory of both states.
My thought when I had him make this site was I would get in touch with the real estate agents and try to get them to advertise on the site. Heck, with 92,000 real estate agents, you don't need many paying a few bucks a month to make good money.
What you could do also is get them to have clients post reviews at the site and rate their service. Then perhaps get them to post a link from their own websites to the ratings page of their business once the ratings get high enough. This would start to get the search engines attention and get more and more pages indexed, which would drive more traffic to the site.
It's a good plan I think, I just have too many good plans like this. This site needs someone to follow through and make the site work.
Right now, there is very little traffic to speak of and no income. However, the site is seasoned and primed to go after a year. The site isn't in the sandbox or anything, it just needs some incoming links, some additional content ( reviews, articles, etc..) and it can take off. A real estate site that does well can be a gold mine. Google has 73 pages indexed. So there's about 92,000 more waiting for the bots and spiders.
I'm looking to get my money back at least, but this site should be worth more because it is seasoned, indexed, ready and clean.
Thanks for taking a look.
