Thanks, it looks good. But, I already have 2 very simple counter sites and was planning to create a new one like yours using the $99 script from
http://www.statscode.com
Is there any reason your script is better than that one? Is your script custom programmed or di you buy it?

Im not just selling a script, im selling a whole design, site etc... First of all the site comes with a small content management system that my program made so I can add/edit/remove pages.
I went to statscode and it looks like a statistical tool to be installed on 1 website. Icounters.com lets users signup and each user is able to do the same thing for free. Not sure if you are confused with the two sites or just havent really taken a look at icounters.com
Thanks
No, as far as I know, statscode is for running a remotely hosted stats service just like your site. Yes, it is just the code, uninstalled and no domain name and no site design.
Did you buy your script or is it custom programmed from scratch?
- Eric
Try the statscode demo and you will see how ti works. The whole point of statscode.com is to run a remotely hosted counter, so if I install it on my server I am able to remotely host counters for webmasters. They do not install the program on their servers, they just copy the html code it gives them. The $999 is for resale rights meaning I could make $99 per copy selling people the statscode script.
Anyhow, what is the name (or link) of the script your site is based on?
- Eric
Sorry I am not giving that information out. I have tried their demo. I think you are confused about what they are offering and may want to contact them before you make any purchases. As according to their site, "server License: This allows you to set-up StatsCode on one server and run it. " This means you install their script on your server, and add html code to your websites to track your pages. But their script/software does not allow third persons to signup for an account to use the same script thats running from your server. With the Resellers liscence, you can resell or give away for free the software which the users would have to then install on their own servers.
Ok, I will ask them about that. Their site is confusing.

I was correct about statscode.com allowing me to run a remotely hosted stats service using the $99 version. I emailed statscode.com a few minutes ago and this was their reply:

Hello Eric,
You can do this with the $99 version. The $999 version allows you to resell the code to other users under your own brand. The $99 version allows you to host it on one server and be able to allow webmasters to copy the code into their sites to track the sites usage. If you have any other questions please let us know.

Can I run a remotely hosted counter service (like at http://www.icounter.com where webmasters copy the small snipet ot html stats code to their site) using your $99 script, or do I need a $999 version for that?

Actually, it looks like the site is using the script from http://www.countercode.com/.

By the way, I am not trying to trash your sale. i think your site is a good deal since the site is all setup on a great domain with good site design. But, I already have 2 much more more basic free counter sites, so I am not as interested as I normally would be.

Hi,
I am just wondering how FREE Counter sites make money?
Thanks,
Doug
do you have any users registered on the site yet?
No users registered yet, havent started promoting it yet. You can place adsense ads on the website which should do fairly well. You can also have small advertisements placed underneath the counters of your users.
me too.Originally Posted by DotDealers
