I'm considering selling http://online-encyclopedia.info
The site is content from wikipedia and consists of just about 1 gig of html static pages. Great for search engines!
It has a PR3 right now but I'm not exactly sure how. I haven't had much time to promote it which is why I'm considering selling it.
It normally gets over a couple of gigs per month in traffic from search engines alone. They love the html pages.
It does in the 2 figured per month in adsense but could do a lot better if promoted and I generally get one or two partypoker ($65/ea) affiliate signups.
I'm taking offers right now.
I'd like paypal payment. Please no offers below $200.
Thank You.

Yeah I caught that right after I opened the thread. Thanks for the heads up.![]()
traffic?
about 2 gigs a month but most of that is search engines right now. As far as unique visits this month is averaging 356 visits/day.
uniques or page views?
that is visits in webalizer which is as close as you can get to uniques.
Here are the webalizer numbers so far this month.
Daily Avg Monthly Totals
Mar 2005 (Daily Average)
Hits 2299
Files 2213
Pages 2129
Visits 356
I'm going to be away until this evening (work). If anyone is interested please PM me and I'll get back with you then.
Current high offer is $350
$400![]()
"Visits" in webalizer isn't equal to uniques... "Sites" in webalizer comes the closest to uniques in other stats tools. With visits, you could get the same person coming back and get counted again.
$450 ;-)
How is the site maintained? is there a control panel or template to edit the site's look and feel? if I was to change the site's design, will it be easy? I dont want to have to edit 10,000 HTML pages![]()
Very good question Aplusmedia. But i highly doubt that every page has to be edited, thou i may be wrong.
I built a similar site, www.TeachTime.com, and every one of the 150,000+ pages can be altered by changing one header and one footer file. I have these files "included" on each html page via PHP. It is very easy to change the look and feel, move the Adsense position around, etc.
Nice site, BGray. Good luck with the sale.

I think he has mod-rewrite setup. If you look at footer you can tell there's a link there that he probally isnt going to keep up there forever... meaning more than likely there's a footer file![]()
Tyler Cruz schooled me in BW, so he won this until May 23rd, 2011 TylerCruz
There is no mod-rewrite set up. All pages are html.
The site has a header and footer file and all html files are pulled with that header and footer. Very easy to work with and only 3 files (index, header, footer) that need to be updated to change the design.
Damie is currently the high bidder.
I'm on a break right now but will be returning messages and looking to close a deal tonight (in about 5+ hours).
Thanks for the replies and PMs.
So you mean this site is not XML nor database based? Where does it pull the search results from?
PM me your AIM, and we can discuss. I am interested too.

Hi offer is $575. If anyone wants to make a final bid please do so now as I will sell tonight.
Please don't ask for info if your are not willing to pay at least $600.
Thanks to everyone who has contacted me.
No. It is static html files. A simple php script pulls the html using the include function. No database, no xml.Originally Posted by damie
