PremierProfile.com provides a free AIM profile tracker to users. Users paste simple HTML into their profile. When other users view the profile, they click a link and the system logs their screen name. Profit is made by placing CPA advertisements in the profile windows.

Source of traffic: Along with adwords, a high position on some top sites are providing traffic. Links at the bottom of profiles also provide many referred users.

Explanation of Income: In August, AOL had a great targeted offer related to AIM mail. This converted so well that the average daily income was in the hundreds. Since then, I have not looked for any other campaigns and have just been using ringtone ads and ebay (which is not very targeted). I’m sure there are many more targeted ads out there to increase income. I just started a new ringtone ad at AzoogleAds.com that earned over $140 the other day from a link at the bottom of a profile (low CTR there, opposed to the top).

Ad Placements: All advertising sources provide account managers that check up on the site.

Ad Ideas: Although I have not tried this, it is successful on many other sites. After the user registers, a note can be placed on the page stating that they should activate their account by visiting an affiliate site.

Hosting: The site requires a special line to be added to the httpd.conf file. You will need your host to add this line to the configuration that allows unconverted spaces in URLS. This does not harm security in any way. I can continue to host the site for a month so you can get your own hosting set up. Uses cPanel right now, so transfers are easy.

Interesting stats. There's some wierd numbers in there like on 10/04/2005 it shows 3 impressions, and 337 clicks. Also, looks like the majority of times, zero impressions and hundreds of clicks. Care to elaborate....

well, since so many of the days are zero or close to it with many clicks, i am willing to bet whoever's code that is just isnt working correctly in recording impressions.

Impressions are zero because the AIM profile will not display images, and that is where impressesions register.
