Professional Magazine Site - Top Domain.

I'm kicking around the idea of selling http://www.magazine-subscriptions.com
The site has excellent front end and back end accessability. Most profit margins are HUGE! Most markups on the prices average 20-50% or more (and it still offers some of the lowest prices on the net).


The site has just been launched about 1.5 weeks ago, so search engine rankings are limited. 90% the current traffic (20-50/day) is from the ppc's.
I have made 5 sales so far, for about $50 profit.


This site could be someone's dream. The domain name alone has a significant value. I need to sell for personal reasons.

Site will include all instructions, including the wholesale supplier info. Maintenance of the site is very easy, thanks to an excellent admin area.

If you have been looking for the perfect turnkey operation, then this is for you. The magazine field is about as lucrative as it gets.

The reluctancy of visible "going ga-ga over it" factor, might be in part because it is still unproven and untested. Not to mention that there's another site that does the same, and is named the same - but, without a hyphen.

In fact, quick Wayback check shows that yours used to belong to them, but I guess it split up at some point, presumably for the purpose of harvesting double.

I have had quite a few questions on how the money is made. This is a very good question! I am sorry I missed it. THIS IS NOT AN AFFILIATE PROGRAM!

Here's how it works:

The site is using the Paypal IPN, shopping cart;
When someone makes a purchase, it goes directly into your paypal account;
Each magazine has a remit cost and a selling price.
The selling price is the amount YOU are selling the magazine for;
The REMIT cost is what you have to send to the clearinghouse.

For example, Joe buy's a one year subscription to Maxim;
He pays the $9 subscription price, you then send the clearinghouse the remit price
the current remit price for Maxim is $1.69! You just made $7!

All processing and fulfilling is done by the clearinghouse, once you place the order, you are done!
It is neat, clean, and easy. This IS professionally done, and you really have something that could become big...very big.

I did not design this site, but it is not a 'shell' from the clearinghouse. The clearinghouse is a well reputable business BUT, you can use any clearinghouse you want. These guys were chosen because of their professionalism. There are of at least two others out there I am aware of.

The clearinghouse has nothing to do with the site. The only differences you will find between clearinghouses, will actually only be what titles they carry, and their remit costs. By looking at the multitude of magazines, and the prices, you can see why these guys are used.
