Country: | Put DOMAIN in TITLE or your thread gets closed! Guys -- I have been seeing that most of the threads in this forum are not having a domain in title. Please let me remind you what Jarred has posted -- Quote: | 1. Put the domain name in the title! The domain name of the domain or website listed for sale must be included in the thread title. In the case of multiple domains it is required that at least one domain be included in the thread title. Threads may be closed if there's no domain in the title, however, you would be allowed to repost the thread on a subsequent day if this happens to your thread. Moderators may fix the thread title for you at their discretion if you are a new member or if it's a first offense, etc.
| We do not enjoy closing sales threads but we have to ensure that everyone is following the rules. So please remember to put domain in title when posting a sales thread in this forum. |

Country: | It has been there for ages -- just that people didn't care to read the sticky which Jarred has made in the forum. Out of frustration that people ignore to read that thread, I made this thread explaining the rule as vividly as I can. |

Country: | No Problem. But just to clarify -- it is not a hard and fast rule. I just had to go through 500+ threads and if I start checking and correcting every violation -- especially by keeping track of which violation # it is, then it is an impossible task.
Feel free to start a new thread after 24 hour which has domain in title. |

Country: | Maybe we need to bring back the old forum mod to enforce the name in title rule.
Problem is, it always insisted on .com extension

Country: | It would be nice if people who posted threads with their domains would have the option of going back and editing out the name when they were no longer interested in selling.
But instead there is a permanent record (or 10) of a domain name being sold. I guess it's nice for whoever gets the ad revenue from all the SE traffic. |

Country: | I've gone back and edited my posts weeks after I put domains up for sale with no issues. That option is available.

Country: | The job of moderators is to enforce the rules, not form it. If you want to debate the utility of this rule, please make a thread here -- http://www.dnforum.com/f79/ -- and I will have Jarred or Adam take a look and chime in with their opinion. |
