Country: | Selling Multiplayer Online Game I am currently selling www.riseofchaos.com
I have just completed this game a few days ago, i based the concept on the game AOE2. The first round of this game has gone very well, I currently have Outwar, TopWebGames and a few other advertising the site, and we are picking up new players very fast, with a lot of good comments.
This game was very hard to program because players can choose from 13 different civilizations and each one can only create certain units. The image below is located in the game guide, and was created by myself. http://riseofchaos.com/images/civilizations.gif There is tons of features in this game, I'll list the ones off the top of my head...
- players can choose from 13 civilizations
- over 30 technologies (and still adding more)
- over 12 different war units to train (infantry, archerys, cavarly, siege weapons)
- 8 different buildings to construct
- player profiles, awesome private message system, message board, alliance boards, recruiting boards.
- 4 different resources, food, gold, stone and wood
- create alliances and dominate different area's
- and tons more...
I have been programing online text based games for over 5 years now, and I have put alot of effort into this game, and it wasn't easy to program. I'm sure just by looking at the game, you can tell it has a lot of work in it. This is exactly what I'm selling
1. www.riseofchaos.com, including everything you see, game, users, everything
2. a www.topwebgames.com game owner account, that is paid for! which means Rise of Chaos is listed there as a "featured" game.
3. 2 months of my support and programming "ONLY FOR GAME" How does it make money?
This game currently doesn't have any credit purchasing feature in it because I am waiting for at least 10,000 active accounts, unless it gets sold. If you where to reach 10,000 active accounts, you could clearly bring in around $5,000 USD a month just by selling credits/turns to users. Like i've said above, i've been programming and running online games for over 5 years, and anyone who has a turn based game should know thats what kind of income can be made from something like this. NOTE: This game was programmed 100% by myself, and I am choosing to sell this game because I do not just have the time to manage a website at the moment. This game is the only existing game of its kind, the source code will not be resold, and you will own all rights. Asking Price: $10,000 usd
--- PM's only please. ---

Country: | Re: Selling Multiplayer Online Game Yes, this game is brand spankin new, and is in its first round on day 4. We are still massively upgrading the game with the things we want to add into it. Yes, this game is the only game of its kind, and if you can find another game like it, please let me know! More and more everyday, we are hearing how great this game is turning out and the great potential it has, even we are having second thoughts on selling it, but im not sure if I do really have the time to manage it as my time is very limited at the moment. No there is no previous income, we havent and wont try and sell credits on the game untill we think the time is right. The feature is there though, ready for it!

How much time a day do you spend on other maintenance? Do you have a final feature list that you are working towards completing? Are there any bids currently? |

Are there any bids currently? | Yes, this updates are included in the price, the maintenance quesiton is kinda hard to anwser considering the site is brand new. I spend at least 5-6 hours a day, still developing it.
This is also why im providing you with 2 months of programing, so that i may still program these updates, and create an admin panel for your needs because we havent designed one yet.
The game as it is right now is 100% playable, the users think its already a completely game because it already has 100's of features, but there is more I still want to ad. Please only PM myself if interested
We have anwsered alot of questions, and have received a few offers, and even a few messages telling us not to sell as it is a unique game with alot of potential. Please try and limit your questions, like "what is the game programmed in", questions like that can be found by just going to the website and looking at the file names. As for unique hits questions, im sure ive mention that this is a "new" developed game, we are not selling the website for its current traffic/income, we are selling the game because its unique and we may not have the time after 2 months to continue developing it.
The 2 months of support can only be provided till March 15th, anything after that I not be able to do, depending on which way my life turns from that important date. "Personal Issues, cannot discuss why".

DNF$: 136 | Re: Selling Multiplayer Online Game First off, I signed up and played for a while, nice game. However, do you think that Microsoft will leave you alone since you based the game and used much of the same information found in Age of Empires 2?
I like the game and the fact that you can compete against others online, and would buy this from you in a heartbeat if it weren't for the possible copyright infringements. If you get Microsoft's ok, I would keep it. You have a good thing going there.

Country: | Re: Selling Multiplayer Online Game I actaully personally would like Microsoft to come after the site, just like they did with MikeRoweSoft. Massive traffic!, lol
The game is text based, all of the names in the game you cannot copyright because they are words people use everyday "not made up ones".
If you look up copyright, it will say you cannot copyright a idea/concept, they wouldnt be able to do anything about it but alter threats to scare you because the 2 games are indeed different considering one is text and one is 2d/3d.
I know the game has very great chances of success, the potential of this game is hugh and alot of people have admitted that. It will be a shame in March when the time comes if i actaully wouldnt be able to run this but then again, by then ill have game admins there to monitor the game, and have already made a script to reset each round automaticly, add it to history and install a new round. This way if im gone, at least ill come back to a even larger game "is also another reason why im not selling credit/turns on it yet", cause the site will attract more users while im gone for half a year because its free.

Any pm's or messages coming from Bizarre account are not from us, we were kinda backstabbed the otherday and lost the account to this person. |

Went crazy and called me a "f**king *** hole" along with other things when I told him his free hosting was over and I terminated his account after allowing him to get his files.
