A couple weeks ago, I set up some vBulletin forums at a favorite domain of mine, TalkZelda.com, driven by my passion for the Zelda video game series. I realized that this would be a hot topic for a forum, since the series is so immensely loved by millions of fans. The first Zelda game was released in 1986 on the NES, and since that time the series has grown to include 13 official games, having sold a total of 47 million units during it's ongoing life. These statistics make Zelda the 7th-best-selling series in video game history, and it shows absolutely no signs of letting up in the least! In fact, the 20+ year old series is becoming more and more popular as new games keep coming out on new systems such as the Nintendo Wii. That said, TALK ZELDA is a forum that will last for many, many years to come. Why waste your money on a console-specific forum that is guaranteed to die within a short number of years? Zelda is forever.
Talk Zelda was launched on Thursday, February 8. The only advertising that I have done is through word of mouth at about 2 forums and over AIM. That's it. And what have I accomplished? Since its launch, Talk Zelda has (as of Monday, February 26) 73 members (all real, not a single one has been paid/bribed/etc...these are TRUE Zelda fans), 2200+ total posts, and roughly 100 unique visitors per day (96.4% type-ins...just imagine what some proper advertising could do).

This sale includes a
customized skin (not unique, but I edited a layout to fit TZ perfectly) and everything else you see at the site. The buyer is responsible for transferring the site to his/her own server within 48 hours of the sale!
The vBulletin license is not included (however, it can be purchased separately for $110 if needed...it's basically new).
REASON FOR THE SALE: This is a very fair question, considering that the site is still young. I have put a ton of work into it all, and I honestly have grown to love the community. It is an exceptionally friendly place, and is a great place to spend my time. However, I think that I spent so much time (I spent full days getting it set up) getting it started that it's eating away at my life too much. I also really could use some money right now, to pay off my car. As I said, I love this site and if I don't get the right offer I don't mind continuing to run it. The Zelda series has so many fans, and keeps growing in popularity, so I know that the longer I hang onto this the more valueable it will become. This is a WIN-WIN deal here for someone. It doesn't make sense NOT to buy it if you have the cash and are looking for a forum to run.
Revenue Details:
I put up Adsense for one day, and earned just under a dollar. Obviously this could be pimped out to a lot more if someone actually put time into advertising the site better, and got more visitors. I just don't have the time to advertise the place.

- In the past I've had a few people interested in the domain alone at ~$500, which further shows it's value. Good Zelda domains are very hard to come by nowadays.
