The owned vBulletin Forum license allows you to run the software on your site indefinitely. Along with this license, you will receive free updates until September 1st 2005. Beyond September 1st, you will have to pay a nominal fee, currently $30, to obtain updates for an additional year.

This license includes free email and forum support.

Good catch - if you plan to stay under the 3.0x license. 3.5 is pre-gold and I doubt the licenses from 3.0x carry over.

They carry over just fine. If you hold an owned vB license and are within your year of free updates(if not jut pay the $30) you can update to 3.5 anytime you want. You could update to 3.5 beta 3 right now.

It would be crazy for them not to honor their previous owned licenses. If you are not in your year of upgrades you would have to pay to upgrade. All I know is they better carry over, otherwise they will be receiving a few emails from me.
