Re: .es - Boom or Bust?

i think u guys are missing the main issue here being complained about.

the issue is with the .es registry not any particular registrar.

i think freddy's responses show they even the registrars are in the dark still about half of what is actually going on.

the .es registry was/is unorganized and ill-prepared to launch the .es names in any sort of fashion.

Re: .es - Boom or Bust?

And many registrars do their job by HAND and they go to lunch from 2-4PM, even if you payed your domain, that was free and are praying that in a few seconds someone can register before you in Nic.es; the personel of many registrars do not really think how important is a few seconds or how valuable are domains, because they were used to register 1-5 domains A DAY !!. Plus Nic.es sucks !!

Re: .es - Boom or Bust?

Looks like another night of problems with .ES....why aren't these registrations in real time? I tried regging a so-so name just to see if it would go through OK,it's been 3 hours+ and it's still pending.
Also, does anyone have any insight as to whats going on with the generics? Are the previous applications for generics (under the old rules) being considered? This whole thing is just weird..

I guess there is some paperwork involved and it will take time for the registrars to manually register the domains "won"... I hope it is the problem...

Yes thats because they have been pre regged by someone on that particular registrar site. Not sure why they are still being shown as "Available" on nic.es.

Lets hope that tomorrow goes a bit better than today and we get some decent catches.
On the Nic Website are not more then 30 Registrars I think. Perhaps some Registrars send requests double or people ordered over the website of the nic.

    Freddy,
When will you start processing todays names? (c-e)

So if we had pre ordered them with nic.es and we were first in the queue on there then we would have almost been guarenteed to get our pre regg's??

Also, when will we get a refund for the names?

    1. already started, all names submitted.
    2. As I know there was no possibility of preordering with nic.es, and yesterday morning I was for 95% of the time not able to get a whois on their website.
    3. refunds will be made as soon all orders are clarified, if someone need more information about the refund. please reply to the email where you got the invoice from.

    some figures:
On first day we got successfully 58% registered.
Second day a bit more, about 61% registered.
During the day you should see the names of today in your Account.
