.es - Boom or Bust?

I went out and spent a small bit of change on some .es domains. Not sure if they are gonig to take off or not but a couple hundred bucks is not going to kill me.

What do you all think? .es going to be worth anything? Or not much at all?

Well I will register a few .es names. Just wait until November
I think many good names are still available. Also I have a brand name in half of the EU countries so it's only logical to add the .es version to my list :-D

Yep! but that is a good thing...if no one wanted them they would be worthless. I got some nice keywords but they are in english..only a few spanish keywords. Either way I think they will do well. Right now I am paying 20 bucks a pop for them, I wonder what the price will be once they are available (not on preorder)?

Hi, I heared that some people had problems with the code to get the discount, try to create the Account before you use the code, then it should work. It will be fixed in the following 48 hours. we where very busy today with the .be problems. I will tell the "doom" that I want only 1 problem per day in future.

good luck with .es, remember more then 550.000.000 speak spanish!

Hi folks, you still flooding my mailbox because of problems with the code "DNFORUM_ES20" to get the discount.
How to work arround: first login or create an account, then search for the names that you want to register. Now you will see during checkout the field where to enter the code. When you first search and then login you will not see the field for the code. Sorry for that. It will be fixed the next days, as soon we have time for that. Right now we are implementing .tw in AsiaDNS.

there are about 25 other registrars. But only a few international. Normally not so much competition.
